Adult Firm Launch Hedge Fund

Beverly Hills-based AdultVest, a firm that seeks to match adult entertainment businesses with qualified investors, is preparing to launch a hedge fund in the next 45 days.

The fund will be originating real estate loans to aid adult entertainment clubs' expansion plains in the U.S. And Canada. Founder Francis Koenig expects loans to range from $500,000 to $10 million.

"Many of these clubs are not able to obtain financing [for real estate] through banks because banks won't lend to adult-used properties," said Koenig. With over 3,700 gentleman's clubs in the U.S. And Canada , Koenig sees enormous profit opportunity. These banks and firms may be hesitant to put "dirt on their sleeve" and are "missing tons and tons of profit" he said.

Koenig shrugged off any negative impact the fund might have on his personal or professional reputation. "We have an opportunity to capitalize on a market that's been ignored," he said. "One of the reasons people have shied away is because things are done in a bootstrap manner [.] if they were done at a classier level, it would change people's perception."

The fund offers returns based on the amount invested. For yields of Libor plus 5%, the investment minimum is $5 million, for Libor plus 4% the investment minimum is $1 million, Libor plus 3% required $100,000, Libor plus 2%, $25,000. The fund will not charge fees.

If the club owner defaults, AdultVest can foreclose on property and buy the club itself. By lending 50% of the properties' value, the loans are very low leverage. "[it] makes it [a] highly secured asset," Koenig said.

In addition to the hedge fund, AdultVest manages two private equity strategies launched last year. Prior to forming AdultVest in September 2005, Koenig founded Koenig Venture Partners, a hedge fund incubator and seeder. He started his work with hedge funds early---as a researcher at his father's hedge fund firm New World Partners when he was 14.

Myles' Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. I left my house Tuesday morning, May 15Th and drove 769 miles, stopping for the night in a rest area one mile into Texas and several miles short of El Paso.

Wednesday, I drove a little under 700 miles and spent the night in a rest area approximately 76 miles west of Houston, Texas.

Last night, I checked into a motel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Man, was it great sleeping in a bed!

I am now in New Orleans, where I will be for a week before going to Oklahoma for a couple of days, then taking two or three days to drive home.

Now that I have thoroughly bored everybody with my travel itinerary, let us begin the discussion of what I did last night.

Thursday evening, May 17Th, I went to the Baton Rouge Gold Club to meet Brandie May and to observe her first show of the evening. (Normally, I would have stayed for at least two shows, but driving approximately one thousand six hundred miles in three days and sleeping in a car in rest areas for two nights takes its toll on a person. Let's face it, I'm not getting any younger.)

For the show I saw, Brandie wore a costume which consisted of a black bra with imitation leopard fur on the cups, a sort of belt thing with a large piece of imitation leopard fur hanging from the back. The bottom half of this was cut into strips five to seven inches long. On the front of this affair hung small gold colored chains five or six inches long. Beneath the imitation fur and chain thing, she wore red with white trim thong panties. To finish out the costume, Brandie wore black, platform soled, stiletto heeled shoes.

In the latter part of her show, Brandie played a game of cooter/hooter ball with the customers with 8X10 photos of herself as prizes. She also sold raffle tickets for a drawing that was to be held later in the evening. The ultimate winner of the raffle was to get a Vip dance with her.

Brandie performs on stage so well as many of the features around today, and better than several I've seen over the years.

Since other customers were waiting to get her attention, I wasn't able to spend too much time with her; therefore, I really can't say too much about Brandie May's personality. However, she seemed to be a very nice and friendly lady.

I can say that Brandie is a lovely, red haired, lady with a nice looking body.

I do believe Brandie is worth the time and effort to go to a nearby club to see her perform and to meet her in person. If I'm ever given the opportunity to see Brandie again, I'll probably take advantage of said opportunity if for no other reason than to see how good her memory for faces may be. (While I might be wrong, I have a feeling that Brandie didn't believe a word I said, when I told her who I was and what I did. Oh well, that isn't my problem.)

Sin City Chamber Initiates Operation Sin City

(LAS VEGAS, NV) -- The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it has begun Operation Sin City. Operation Sin City is a grass roots campaign to raise the spirits of United States Army Soldiers in Task Force Phoenix currently stationed in Afghanistan.

Sin City Chamber of Commerce Members have been asked to contribute some items to raise the morale of Task Force Phoenix and to show a just a token of the gratitude that is felt collectively to our brave fighting men and women.

The origins of Operation Sin City began quite simply with an email that began "Greetings from Afghanistan" wrote Spencer Martin, Sergeant First Class of Task Force Phoenix. Sergeant Martin's email went on, "I'll tell you that it's hard to find information on brothels and related industry on our systems because it's filtered out. Anyway, I'm in charge of a bunch of guys that are pretty fascinated with the business since being told about it by another of my soldiers who lives in Las Vegas. I don't know if you can arrange it, but these guys would love to get some kind of autographed photos or calendars or something. We've been here for several months and I think it would be good for their spirits." (Kevin Barnett of North Las Vegas was the soldier.)

"Operation Sin City began with a simple request, however, the Executive Staff of the Sin City Chamber decided to delve into the collective power of our membership and the response has been overwhelming" commented Michael Russell, Executive Vice President. "When I received this request, I empathized with Spencer immediately and knew the Chamber Members would help to make the men and women of Task Force Phoenix understand that we honor their service and understand the sacrifices they are making enable us to live and do business in a free society."

As fate would have it, the request for information was about legal Nevada Brothels. After visiting the Chicken Ranch Brothel over the course of the past few years to speak to the working girls about the benefits of membership (incorporation, tax, home, health, help and discounts,) it was discovered that Debbie Rivenburgh Madam at the Chicken Ranch Brothel had a daughter in Iraq. Debbie and the Chicken Ranch Brothel would from time to time send care packages to her daughter and the solders in her unit.

Upon learning about Debbie's daughter, now stationed in South Korea, Sergeant Spencer wrote, "Please tell the lady at the Chicken Ranch to thank her daughter for us. Iraq is a tough gig. So, is Korea as far as that goes."

Operation Sin City has already taken affect. Upon hearing about the creation of
